Kennebec Tool & Die Adds New 6 Pallet Horizontal Machining Center

AUGUSTA, ME. - November 9, 2001 - Here we GROW again!  Demonstrating our steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence in performance, Kennebec Tool & Die has purchased a brand new Kiwa 6 Pallet Horizontal Machining Center. 

"In addition to increasing our capacity, the acquisition allows us to reduce setup and lead times.  This will ensure we continue to meet our customer's requirement for better, faster, cheaper." says Bart Haley, Sales and Marketing Manager.  The machine will be strategically placed on the shop floor and become part of two new machining cells designed to capture additional lean manufacturing benefits.  The new equipment will be in place on November 21.
