AUGUSTA, ME. - September 3, 2002 - Here we GROW again! Demonstrating our steadfast commitment to excellence in performance and customer satisfaction, Kennebec Tool & Die has purchased a brand new Nakamura-Tome Multi-Tasking Twin-Spindle Turning Center, incorporating the most recent advancements in machining technology.

"Multi-tasking gives us the ability to machine a part complete in one set-up" says Brent Duncan, Engineering Manager. "This machine will decrease throughput (the length of time it takes to convert raw material to saleable product) and increase productivity, allowing Kennebec Tool & Die to meet marketplace requirements for shorter lead times and reduced costs" Duncan adds. The new equipment will be in place on September 27.
